Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the HaggleBuddy mobile application or website ("Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, do not use the Service.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and HaggleBuddy ("Company", "we", "us", "our"), operated by Haggle & Dende Limited, a company registered in Kaduna State, Nigeria.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 13 years of age to use HaggleBuddy. By using the Service, you represent and warrant that you meet this age requirement. If you are under 18, you represent that your parent or legal guardian has reviewed and agrees to these Terms on your behalf.

3. Description of Service

HaggleBuddy provides:

• A crowdsourced database of market prices from Nigerian markets
• An AI-powered Haggle Coach feature that generates negotiation advice and scripts
• A Practice (Roleplay) Mode that simulates negotiation scenarios
• Community tools for users to report and verify market prices
• A Pro subscription tier with additional features

We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any aspect of the Service at any time, with reasonable notice to users where possible.

4. Using the Service

HaggleBuddy does not require you to register an account. By using the Service, you agree to:

• Use HaggleBuddy lawfully and honestly
• Provide accurate information when submitting price reports
• Not misuse, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the Service or its data
• Be responsible for activity carried out through your device

We reserve the right to restrict or block access that violates these Terms.

5. Community Price Reports

When you submit a price report to HaggleBuddy, you agree that:

• The price you are reporting is accurate and based on a genuine market observation
• You will not submit false, fabricated, or deliberately misleading price reports
• You grant HaggleBuddy a non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to display, aggregate, and use your submitted price data within the Service
• Price reports may be edited, removed, or rejected at our discretion if they appear inaccurate or abusive

6. Accuracy of Price Information

Prices displayed on HaggleBuddy are community-sourced estimates based on reports from users. They represent typical price ranges — not guaranteed prices from any specific seller.

We make no warranty that the prices shown are accurate, complete, or current. Market prices fluctuate based on season, supply, demand, vendor, and time of day. Always verify prices at the market before making purchase decisions. HaggleBuddy is not liable for any financial loss arising from reliance on our price data.

7. AI-Generated Content

The AI Haggle Coach and Roleplay Mode use artificial intelligence to generate negotiation advice and simulate conversations. You acknowledge that:

• AI-generated scripts and advice are for informational and entertainment purposes only
• Results may vary and are not guaranteed to produce any particular outcome in real negotiations
• You use AI-generated advice at your own discretion and risk
• HaggleBuddy is not responsible for outcomes resulting from following AI-generated negotiation scripts

8. Prohibited Conduct

You agree not to use HaggleBuddy to:

• Submit false or deliberately misleading price reports
• Harass, abuse, or harm other users
• Attempt to reverse-engineer, hack, or disrupt the Service
• Use automated tools (bots, scrapers, or crawlers) to access the Service without our prior written permission
• Access, scrape, harvest, copy, or bulk-download our price data, community reports, or database, whether manually or automatically
• Use our price data or any part of the Service to build, train, or populate a competing product, service, or dataset
• Violate any applicable Nigerian law or regulation
• Impersonate any person or organisation
• Engage in any activity that could damage the reputation of HaggleBuddy or its users

Violation of these rules may result in immediate account suspension or termination.

9. Subscriptions and Payments

HaggleBuddy Pro is an auto-renewing subscription offered monthly (₦1,500) or yearly (₦12,000). Purchases are processed and billed by Apple (App Store) or Google (Play Store) through their in-app purchase systems, subject to their terms.

• Subscriptions auto-renew at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand
• You may cancel your subscription at any time; access continues until the end of the current billing period
• We do not offer refunds for partially used subscription periods except where required by law
• We reserve the right to change subscription pricing with 30 days' advance notice

10. Intellectual Property

All content, features, and functionality of HaggleBuddy — including but not limited to the app design, logo, code, AI models, and text — are owned by HaggleBuddy and protected by Nigerian and international intellectual property laws.

You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works of any part of the Service without our prior written consent.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by Nigerian law, HaggleBuddy and its team shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service, including but not limited to financial losses from reliance on price data or AI-generated advice.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

12. Disclaimer of Warranties

HaggleBuddy is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranty of any kind. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

13. Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Kaduna State, Nigeria.

14. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date and, for material changes, notify you via email or in-app notification. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
